The lab receives 2 CeZAP grants

We are excited to announce that we have received two grants from the Center of Emerging Zoonotic and Arthropod diseases.

The first project, in collaboration with James Weger-Lucarelli (Vet Med, Virginia Tech), focuses on studying the role of Culex territans mosquitoes and their amphibian hosts in the West Nile virus transmission.

The second project, lead by Jonathan Auguste (Entomology, Virginia Tech) and in collaboration with Luis Escobar (Fish and Wildlife, Virginia Tech), focuses on employing avian and arthropod surveillance to predict pathogen emergence in Virginia.
